O Come, Let Us Adore Him

Despite the fact that our trees are still full of bright, vibrant leaves here, we have been soaking up the sights and sounds of December.  This has been my favorite Christmas season to date for a plethora of reasons, but the best reason of all is that Nicole now truly understands why we have Christmas at all.

I have had countless opportunities to talk with her about the birth of Jesus this year.  Each time we talk about the Christmas story, I feel my heart singing with adoration for Christ the King.  I can't help but smile and shake my head in amazement when I think about an all-powerful God coming to earth in pursuit of reconciliation and relationship with us.  He was born so that He, who knew no sin, might be sin for us, so that we could become the righteousness of God in Him (2 Corinthians 5:21).

Jesus came so that we could be made right.  He is the light that came to light up the whole world and He is worth every moment of celebration and merriment we can cram into this season.

I hope that your Christmas preparations are filled with the joy that comes from adoring Jesus.

Love,
Erica
