Checking in

Hello! How are you?

If this was a normal week I would be chatting with you about some of the ways God has been growing our relationships in our neighborhood, what we're currently up to or our slow re-entry into life post-quarantine.  But, today I've been thinking about how this isn't a normal week and as such, it didn't really feel right to chat about things outside of what's going on in the world today.

I have to imagine that a week and a half ago you too were slowly emerging from your quarantined life only to be confronted with a new, rapidly evolving social issue.  Reports of violence, crime and vandalism are making regular appearances on our news feed.  Talk of protests, curfews and store closures take up the rest of the bandwidth.

Out for a walk with my crew
Shawn and I have been keeping close tabs on what's happening in Minnesota (and so many other places) right now and we are praying for hope, healing, repentance and restoration to sweep the area.   We serve a God who created every tribe, tongue and nation.   Every life holds exponential value to Him and so we are asking that God would communicate value to those who feel unvalued and that His justice would prevail over the injustice in our world today.  He is able!

We hope and pray that all is well with you!
With love,
Erica
