Safe

Many of you have been reaching out to us this week about the tornados that went through our area on Sunday night.  We wanted you to know that although the tornado was very close to us, we are completely safe and have no damage from the storm.  God was with us and we have no doubt that His mighty hand moved the storm past our house.

This was the tornado just a stone's throw from our house.
If you have been following the story on the news then you know that the impact of the storm was devastating for many.  One of Time to Revives board members lost her entire house in the storm but earlier in the day God had prompted her to start praying for the safety of her and her husband.  She and her husband weathered the storm from the safety of an interior closet and were unharmed despite the fact that their house was destroyed.  God cares for His people even in the midst of tragedy.

The only repercussion we experienced from the storm was loss of power.  Monday morning Shawn got our vehicles out of the garage for us, making both of our days (almost) fully functional.  I had to do a few things a little differently but by and large our day was marked by gratitude, not the loss of power, because I was keenly aware of the blessing of our home and our safety.

We had no idea how long it would take to get our power back due to the numerous power outages in the area.  We were mentally gearing up for a couple of days off the grid but we were pleasantly surprised to have power again on Monday evening.  It was a great way to end the day!

We praise God for His provision, His protection and His might.

I hope all is well with you!

Love,
Erica
