This off-schedule post is coming to you because I would like to ask you to pray for my friend, Corbin!
Since moving to Texas, I have had the privilege of being introduced to some really kind people. Maybe it's the southern charm, or the slower pace of life here, but I am continually blessed by the genuine kindness I encounter.

It was no surprise to me when my neighbor Stacey introduced me to her friend Corbin by describing her as sweet and deeply thoughtful. Stacey and Corbin met at college here in Texas and have maintained their friendship through many life changes and transitions since that time. If you knew Corbin you wouldn't be surprised that the friendship stuck because she is a thoughtful, 27-year old girl who was created to nurture others. She has lovingly pursued people with compassion and care for her entire life and has always been quick to think of others first. Her desire to care for and share life with the people she encounters makes time with her rich, meaningful and intimate.
Recently, Corbin has been struggling with seizures and black outs and after heading to the doctor to get them checked out, she found out she has a brain tumor. The first scan showed that the tumor was on her brain and the doctor was going to check for growth in six months before deciding what the course of action would be. Another scan a couple of days later showed that she has a golf-sized tumor in her brain located right next to one of her major arteries. Surgery has been scheduled to attempt to remove the tumor in three weeks.
Will you join with me in praying for Corbin and her family? As I sit here and think about Corbin, I am sobered by this news but expectant that God is at work. God's love for Corbin is deeper and bigger than anything I could ever comprehend and I know that His plans for her are good. Today, I am praying for peace that passes understanding and healing that only God can bring. Will you join me?
